HDI has developed partnership with different dedicated organizations working in Nepal in the development sector. These organizations includes from government ministry, national and district level governments and nongovernmental organizations, hospitals, schools etc. These organizations have been working in the local community to improve their health, education and overall development aspects among socially deprived and excluded community and caste, ethnic groups.
HDI aims to meet the need of the partner organizations in Nepal by finding suitably qualified volunteers who have the skills and the expertise to meet partner’s expectations. Need of these organizations at national and district level is identified through consultation meetings based on which experts, consultant is contacted among the Diaspora community in the UK. Once the need of support and the available Diaspora expertise is identified, a clear linkage is established between them with support coordination from HDI staff in the UK and Nepal. Placement of the diaspora volunteer is based on the need of partners and their work nationwide that focus on
Health: Mental health, geriatric (elderly) care/support, women and child health, learning disability and nutrition etc.
Education: Subject teaching, leadership development among teachers, Use of local resources in science education, Child friendly education, Inclusion and Differentiation and behavior management, etc.
